道奇和小熊國聯冠軍賽第4戰，2局下道奇強打Adrian Gonzalez闖本壘，結果遭到小熊右外野手Jason Heyward的回傳球阻殺在本壘之前，結果導致該局1分未得，最後以2：10輸掉這場比賽，雙方系列賽戰平。而在賽後Gonzalez在自己的社群上表示，這一球肯定是誤判。

該場比賽2局下，Gonzalez一開始就安打上壘，並在2出局後靠著隊友的打擊上二壘，接著Andrew Toles敲出安打，壘上的Gonzalez隨即拔腿狂奔，但是小熊外野手Heyward的回傳也很到位，結果最後裁判判決Gonzalez被觸殺在本壘前，道奇雖然隨即提出挑戰，但經過輔助判決仍維持原判。

根據此判決，聯盟今天回應，因為經回放後，仍然沒有足夠的證據能顯示Gonzalez更快碰到壘包，因此最後還是維持主審的原判，判定他出局。

而不服氣的Gonzalez，賽後在自己的Twitter上寫道：「Somehow this is an out. Takeseries lead tomorrow! Got to do this. Us against the world.」顯然對這個判決，相當不以為然。

不過道奇總教練Dave Roberts對此道是相當看得開，他表示他不覺得是這一球決定了整場比賽的勝負，或許它的確對戰局造成影響，但在這之後，自己仍認為這場比賽有獲勝的機會。
